Grant Management relates to all of the administrative tasks required to handle the money, reporting, and program implementation in a way that meets generally accepted standards as well as the requirements of the funding source.
It is ensuring that program staff have the latitude to accomplish something meaningful at the same time that every obligation to the funding source is met and fall within governing regulations.
The Office of Research provides administrative, compliance, and financial management support for research grants and contracts. This includes dissemination of information about grant/contract opportunities, assistance with preparation and submission of proposals, pre-award administrative support, grant accounting, and post-award financial management.
